DESCRIPTION

This design is a little more involved than your average parkjet, due to the complex angles and geometry of the real YF-23.  It requires a lot of bevel cuts and sanding, However I have designed contoured parts so that the sanding-shaping is as painless as possible.

I also have created highly detailed plans and construction guides to make it as easy as possible to recreate it as faithfully as possible. The plans allow for either twin 50mm EDF or convetional Pusher prop. The original aircraft was designed and built by Northrop & McDonnell Douglas to compete with the F-22 Raptor in the 1990 ATF fly-off.  It was created to replace the F-15 Eagle to beat the best of the soviet aircraft such as the SU-37.  It exceeded the brief for a high stealth, High agility strike aircraft.

If you haven’t built a park jet before, this is NOT the model to start with! It will be a challenging build. But if you’ve built other park jets it shouldn’t be too difficult.
