Well lots of wonderful things have been happening lately.  On July 20th, 2005 I started my website www.parkjets.com   It's still under construction, and things are changing daily.   So if you visit, make sure you refresh each page, to see the latest information (or Dump Your Hard Drive Cache)  A lot of people have been visiting, and I welcome you all.

If your a webmaster and you have linked to my old free plans page on my www.parkfly.rchomepage.com/plans.html site, PLEASE edit your links so they point to the www.parkjets.com pages.

I have the Free Plans page completed, and there are some new parkjets available, which I'll get into in the next section.

I have a webpage called Getting Started Flying R/C.  It contains some information about what type of planes you should fly, what to look for in a RTF jet, and what to avoid.   Further information includes what basic tools you need, and some information on battery chargers, and motor diagnostic tools.

Another webpage deals with some Common Sense Safety Issues, associated with Flying Parkjets.  Parkjets are fun to fly, but as with all things, it is possible to have accidents.  These simple rules can help negate some of the hazards, and make it possible for you to fly in a fun, and safe environment.

Be sure and visit the website, and download a few plans, and have fun building and flying your new Parkjets!!

2.
NEW PARKJET PLANS

The latest free plans available on the free plans page are the A-6 Intruder and the F-107 Ultra Sabre Parkjets.  There are new video's available for several parkjets, so if you haven't looked at your favorite jets in a while, be sure to revisit the plans page, and check out all the new jets and video's.

I've added a link to the RC Groups "Star Wars" Parkflyer build threads.  I'm not linking to specific Parkflyers, so you will have to explore the threads and all the sub-building threads yourself to see what sort of plans are available.

Speaking of the RC Groups, if you decide to download and build any of the plans for the parkjets, PLEASE subscribe to the build threads on RC Groups and share your build with the planes designer, and everyone else who is participating in the build thread.

Mark DiMonte, designer of the Avro Arrow Parkjet recently included a small note in his build thread which says it all/

Note From Mark DiMonte
keep flying

Great to see my design of the Arrow in the hands of others. It was great to fly mine for the first time but to see others excited and and enjoying the design is the best of all feelings. Good luck. balance on the cg and you will love what you will fly.

That pretty much says it all!!!!!!!!!

The Top 10 Parkjets as of 8/06/05

The nice thing about the new format of the Parkjets Free plans page, is that I am able to add a counter to each parkjet page.  These counters (I use the same on Every website page, including this newsletter) are produced by www.andale.com and there the same counters used by millions of Ebay sellers.  The nice thing is that you can set up the counters to record all the "hits" or just unique views (The counter writes a small cookie in your PC Cache) and I always use the unique views to keep track of how popular a particular Parkjet is.

Buy Your Own www.parkjets.com Gear Today at Cafe Press!

I've opened a small storefront at Cafe Press to sell Parkjet gear. Everything from clothing to coffee mugs, clocks, ball caps, mouse pads, and more, are available for purchase.  You can visit my store using a link from any of my website pages or here at http://www.cafepress.com/parkjets   I've kept the mark-up as low as possible.  I'm not looking to make money on this, I just think it is cool, and I'd be very happy and honored if you chose to wear some Parkjet SWAG!!

5.  Whats Comming up

Some things to look forward to, include  Best Set-up recmondations for brushed and brushless Pusher-prop powered ParkJets and Brushed and brushless set-up's for EDF Powered ParkJets.   I'll be starting a database of Manufactured Parkjets, and the vendors who sell them.

Some future Parkjets on the horizon include the F4-D Skyray, and hopefully some new 3D Foamy Designs of the Eurofighter and the F-22 Raptor.

If there is anything that you would like to see on my website, you can e-mail me at rcparkflyer@yahoo.com and I'll see what I can do to fulfill your wishes.

Next Months newsletter may come out a bit early as I will be traveling to Florida with my father for the first two weeks of September, so I'll try to get it sent out before I leave, otherwise it will have to wait till I return.

Happy Flying
