NOTES FROM THE DESIGNER
This is my version of the Mirage F1 Quickbuild, as inspired by Tomas Hellberg (Tomhe). The Mirage F1 tracks very well in the sky and performs rolls with just simple elevons. You could add additional control surfaces, but in my experience, its not really needed on this model. I achieved the rounded intakes with some simple plastic sheeting, something everyone can find lying around.
The Mirage was designed for 6mm Depron. You will need some carbon for the wings. I included in there a prop slot to fit a 6" prop. One note: during construction, be sure to plan out your electronics as they can be difficult to access once the model is completed. The Zip file contains COG information as well as details on the control throws.
SPECIFICATIONS
Material: 6mm Depron | Span: 25" | Length: 42" | Power: 2212-06 motor, 6X4E APC prop, 30A ESC and 3S 1800-2200 MAH battery | All up weight: 14-18oz | Control Throws (more information in plans) Elevator: 40mm up/40mm down. 30% Expo; Aileron: 60mm up/60mm down. No expo.
