NEW PLAN - TORNADO

We just uploaded a new plan, the awesome Panavia Tornado! Inspired by the Steve Shumate F-14, the Tornado features swing wings and awesome lines. The designer, Craig Clarkstone adds another awesome design to his growing catalog right here on Parkjets. 

One super bonus, this one takes EDF or pusher configurations, giving you all the flexibility  you need to get going with this awesome model. 

NEW PLAN - BUGATTI P100

Oh snap, we just uploaded plans for what has to be sexist looking pusher ever. Check out the Bugatti P100, designed by Craig Clarkstone, this Bugatti is just so sleek. Beware, it's super fast and a bit heart pounding to fly, but damn, it looks too good out there in the air. 

The nice thing about this design, chances are you have all the gear you need to get it flying, as it takes pretty much the standard parkjet gear. So what is your excuse, own your own Bugatti P100!

NEW PLAN - F-35 LIGHTNING II

We just uploaded a new plan that already has us out in the garage preparing to cut this monster. The designer of the awesome YF-23, Viggen and others has dialed up the cool factor and brought this modern fighter to the hobby table. 

The plans complete with all kinds of goodies, like decals and panels for that extra detail. So head over to our free plans catalog and get to downloading. You won't be disappointed. 

Sonic - New Plan

The creator of the awesome Hotspot has created the next parkjet using much of the same design elements.  Behold the Sonic! Twin stabs, canards, big delta wings and easy construction makes the Sonic an easy weekend build for hours of park flying. We just added it into the free catalog for the download, so enjoy!  

JA-37 VIGGEN - NEW PLAN

Another day, another new plan. We just posted up the JA-37 Viggen. Now this monster features canards, big delta wings and killer looks. If you like the Saab Gripen, this one is a great evolution to the next level. And because this comes from Craig Clarkstone, you know the design is solid and the results will be awesome. Our download includes all the things you need to build, plans, guide and more.  

Red Arrows Hawk - New Plan

Parkjets got another great plan from Craig Clarkstone, the Red Arrows Hawk. If you are familar with Parkjets, you know his YF-23 is one of the best looking parkjet models on our site today. You know you are getting a quality design that looks good in the hanger and in the air. His plans contain everything you need, from decals, construction guides, and parts drawings.

NEW PLAN - J-31 FALCON HAWK

Kicking off 2015 the right way with a new plan! This time we got the great looking J-31 Falcon Hawk in our inbox with great looks and super easy construction. This one is a basic profile design with some different control surfaces which give this EPP designed jet some cool capabilities. 

Suitable for indoor or outdoor flight the J-31 will start off your new year right. Now, the designer also posted the DXF files for those of you out there that like to do a little modification or perhaps some upsizing. He also included a great instruction manual along with tiled and untiled plans for all the scratch builders out there. 

It might be cold where you live, but with this design, it's small enough to take to a local gym and let her fly. 

What could be better than a new design for the new year? 

NEW PLAN - YAK-17 FEATHER

Robertus, the same guy who has several awesome plans on Parkjets, just sent us over a throwback jet just in time for December. The YAK-17 Feather is a sleek looking Russian flyer with great lines and great performace.  

Better yet, with this model, Robertus gives all you EDF nuts out there a frame to throw a 70mm fan into and get to the park. 

This is a great model for those of you out there getting tired of all the 5th generation fighters at all the flying fields. After all, half of going to the flying field is having something a little different, and the YAK-17 will get that job done. 

Now that winter has settled in across the county, now is the perfect time to get some foam, crank up the music and get to building that next parkjet for your fleet in time for spring. 

HALLOWEEN PROJECT - FLYING WITCH

This is a great little project that was passed along to us by a reader of Parkjets.com.  We thought the timing was perfect!  After all, Halloween is just around the corner and putting together a quick project to fly around the neighborhood is a perfect weekend project.  

The design is very simple actually, but in profile, it looks just like a witch on her broom.  Since this is a speciality plan, we thought we would post it here first and then move it to the catalog a little later.  Our publishing schedule in the catalog is a little backed up.

NEW PLAN - CHIGGY

Let's get Chiggy! The lastest plan uploaded is another Robertus special, the Chiggy. It's a fantasy aircraft with a crazy design that makes the two wings and vertical stab all the same. Putting the prop on the front of the aircraft, in a traditional tractor configuration allows for awesome vertical take-offs. The Chiggy pairs nicely with the Hammerhead, and almost looks like a flying bomb.  

Parkjets now has 135 free RC plans available for download. And with summer in full swing, it's a great time to add to your fleet. The Chiggy is a simple 3D design that should get you up and running in no time. One thing is for sure, no one will have a more unique looking flyer at the park than you when you roll up with the Chiggy. 

NEW PLAN - SABER TOOTH TIGER

We just uploaded another plan to the growing catalog of FREE PLANS right on our site. Now that brings the total number of free plans up to 135, which is a pretty big deal.  We can’t believe we are only 15 plans away from crossing the big 150 milestone. It will be here soon enough. Building a good quality catalog is not easy and takes a lot of time, but with over 35,000 people downloading plans every month, we know there is always room for one more plan!

So, following up on his EDF wonder, the SAF-14, the designer, E. Flores brings us a delta wing EDF Saber Tooth Tiger.  This design is ultra-light weight, has a single vertical stabilizer, and can perform very well with a modest motor and fan set up.  Slap a cool paint job on it and you have a real stunner at the park with this design.  The Saber Tooth Tiger is stable flyer and set up for a 64mm fan but can be converted to accept a traditional pusher configuration with a prop.  Go ahead and download it, check it out and see what you think, after all, it’s totally free.

NEW PLAN - T-720 BROADHEAD

We just added a new plan to the expanding catalog, the T-720 Broadhead.  It's from the same designer of the Hot Spot, so you know it's a proven plan. The zip file contains the parts drawings along with construction photos to help you out when you get yours ready to glue up. 

The T-720 is a stable flyer but also nimble and capable of good manuevers, suitable for beginner flyers as well as the more experienced RC pilot. 

The broad wings and unique horizontal tail give it an different look. Made of 100% depron, it's easy to build with minimal effort. 

Give the T-720 Broadhead a download and kick start off the summer right. 

NEW DESIGNER - 4 NEW PLANS

We just finished up adding in three new plans from the designer of the X-Shuttle, which quickly brings Robertus' total to four plans in our ever growing FREE PLANS catalog. So let's not waste anytime, here is a brief rundown of the new designs. 

First up is the Hammerhead. And it looks like you might imagine. Front cannards, reversed wings, and futuristic looks that will have your flying buddies wondering if it will even achieve lift-off. But it will, get the COG right, and it flies just fine. 

Next, we have the SU-22 Fitter, a great looking swing wing aircraft from Russia. Now, for you experienced builders, the SU-22 is a great way to test your skills.  Beginner builders, you might want to get a little time behind the razor blades and epoxy before trying this one. But a great addition to the catalog.

Last, we have the F-302 from the TV show Stargate. Similar to the Hammerhead, this one doesn't look like it wants to fly in a real atmosphere, but it does and very well. With dyhedrial and a forward swept wing, the shape is very unique. 

With these three plans, plus the X-Shuttle, we are very happy to have Robertus as a contributor to Parkjets. We put his name in the sorter on the Free Plans page, so now you can just go straight to his work. We want to thank Robertus and all our designers for letting us host their awesome work. 

NEW PLAN - X-SHUTTLE

We just posted a new plan over in our free plan catalog, one of the biggest and most comprehensive on the internet today. The X-Shuttle is from a designer that is just starting to feed Parkjets some plans, so we look forward to getting more online soon. 

The X-Shuttle is a simple form build, with simple formers and a skin over a smooth looking body. The designer put a bunch of LED lights on his and the results are awesome on low light flying. 

The X-Shuttle can move well in the air with plenty of speed, but slows down to a float when the power is cut. An excellent addition to the catalog. 

Now, before it gets too hot outside, get out there and get to building and flying! 

NEW PLAN -YF-23 GREY GHOST

Okay folks, been a few weeks on the new plans. But this one makes up for it. Now you know we look at a lot of plans before we post them. We want to make sure they work, we want to make sure the documentation is good. And we want to make sure you know what you are getting with good pictures and video. This is not an exageration: This new plan is one of the best we have ever seen. Period. 

The documentation is insane. Complete build guide. Complete with decals. Complete with a flight set up document. Full size plans, EDF, pusher, whatever. It's all there. What about pictures? Unbelievable pictures. Video too. Insane stuff. 

This is not your beginner parkjet, which is probably why we are so excited. It rivals the master work of Steve Shumate in terms of scaleness. The details are just crazy. But it does involve some advanced building techniques. We love it. 

We do want to give a big thanks to the designer Craig Clarkstone who has clearly put in hundreds of hours into this project. He contacted us months ago and said he was just not ready yet, he needed more time to perfect his design, test it for the users, and complete the documentation. It's just amazing stuff. 

We haven't even talked about how cool the YF-23 was in real life. Craig covers that stuff too, so get on over to the download page and get to work.

NEW YEAR/ PLAN - HOT SPOT

We just posted a new plan for the new year!  The Hot Spot came to us a while ago and we let it slip down the priority list but the designer sent us a nice reminder.  Hey, sometimes its needed!  

The Hot Spot is a great looking fun jet style foam parkjet.  Dual vertical stabs, big delta wing profile and super simple set up make it an easy winter project for just about anyone.  Like most jets with these design cues, its plenty fast but also stable enough for easy park flying.  

Check it out and get to building! And of course, Happy New Year!

NEW PLAN - SAF-14

We just added in a new plan late last night, the SAF-14. Think of it as a combination of the F-35, SU-37, and bunch of originality. Better yet, this design comes from a new designer, Eduardo Flores. This model is built for EDF and based on the results, getting better than 1:1 weight to thrust ratio means it will perform like a good EDF should.

The plans are hand drawn, but easy to cut out, just print and cut. Designed for 3mm Depron foam, the SAF-14 looks to be a great addition to the parkjets line up.

NEW PLAN - F-15 EAGLE MK2

The designer of the SU-37, F-15, Eurofighter, and more just sent us over the latest design from FRCFoamies, the F-15 MK2.  Now, while it may look like the original F-15 MK1, it is a completly new design offering some improvements in scale and performance. 

Like most of FRC's designs, this one is able to handle just about any reasonable motor and ESC combo you have laying around, so with just a little bit of foam, a few spare parts, you can get your hands on sticks and be flying this F-15.  Go check it out.  

Now, we have to say one thing, you know if you have been around very long, but we like just about any parkjet design that features a large delta shaped wing and the F-15 fits the bill.  That shape gives you great stability without being too draggy.  Do yourself a favor, check out the files, after all, like all our FREE Parkjet downloads, you can download away, check it out, and get to building.

NEW PLAN - F-242 SPIKER

From the designer of the F/A-241 Shrike, comes the new parkjet plan, the F-242 Spiker. Oh sure, it's a fantasy plan, but the lines are nice and no one will have this design on their workbench.  You can see from the picture, the Spiker features large delta style wings, something we know produces the best parkjets. 

Designed to be a highly maneuverable project, the F-242 doesn't disappoint. Coming in at about 27" wingspan, its small enough for even the smallest parks. Just the way we like them. 

The canards are canted upward as well, giving the Spiker a unique look.

NEW PLAN - SU-37/27

Last week we uploaded a new plan to our FREE plans page. Jamie Rothwell let us know he has made some modifications and some size adjustments to his very popular SU-37 plans.  

First, he shrunk the plans to 80% of the original size.  Then he cleaned up the plans, improved the canopy, nacels and some other minor tweeks.  Then he changed the plans to allow for a simple modification so that the builder could convert the plans to the SU-27 with a little effort.  

The result is a very (we mean very) well documented plan that gives a builder a great platform to take to the park and waste an afternoon.  

Jamie uses the score and fold method to build up his fuse and if you have seen our "Top 10 List" over the past 6 months, his planes are very popular and for good reason.  His plans utilize a simple construction method, the planes he has chosen provide large wings, low weight and excellent performace, and because of the design, his plans are also semi-scale, so that in the air, they look fantastic.
